Wisdom is a stasis: Knowledge is like the 'snake of eternity', constantly eating itself and never finishing. More bathos: connexity of all our bloody selves to Ego is a nightmare commanded by the overlooked, unobeyed latencies of return, essential for re-union. Ego expands by that which evokes mutual effluxes; therefore look for the Theocentric in the Egocentric. If God personalizes our deficiencies, then, we thus personify his? Subject understanding object by 'as if' may become, with courage, an ingressive emotional experience giving mutual expression. Falsehood, and all sham conceits, are the reflected memory of the de-related and forgotten event resurging, re-exhibiting for validation; for whatever you pretend, holds a misplaced Truth, i.e., inaccurately related time and place. This also is true of the future. Time here is long… Of whom do we ask forgiveness when we hate ourselves?

Manual of rune magick, and Visual Magick, a handbook of freestyle shamanism, comes the definitive study of magical trance and possession techniques. The author is inspired by the Nordic tradition of Seidr, said to have been taught to the human race by Odin. The book provides an extensive survey of the manifestation of this powerful technique through several related magical traditions - shamanism, mesmerism, draconian cults and even the nightside of European paganism. Seething is probably the most useful magical technique I have ever learned. I first was taken by the pleasure of it. My body felt warm and sensual, and seething in the hips felt quite sexual. I liked the feeling of my body taking over where the shaking was first voluntary - but I could still have some control, making the shaking stronger or more subtle. After a while I started to see visions - something that very rarely happens to me. I could see (with my physical eyes, not astrally!) the surface of the land in the centre of the circle rippling, like waves of energy. It was a really moving experience in a site that - until then - had not been particularly 'special' to me... it ..has had a major impact upon my magical work which used to be largely indoors, as at last I have found a way that I can work outdoors. This gives my magical work a potency that it simply didn't have before. - Shantidevi quoted in chapter twelve 'Rhythms and the Mind'

Rather than invest belief in abstruse metaphysical theory, Nick Hall has chosen here to build a system from an eclectic range of practical procedures culled from many cultures. Informing the whole treatise however is the chaoist meta-belief that belief structures reality. This is pragmatic magick at its best. Devise or discover a technique that seems worth investing belief in, and if you can validate it, include it in your grimoire, without worrying how or why it works. Many times in the course of reading this text I stopped to make a note of something that seemed worth trying out. That, I think, is the mark of a useful book. Unless the vast majority of the magicians work in complete isolation from their more public peers, then the ratio of civilians who merely collect magic books to actual working magicians may be estimated at ninety to one. This is a book for the one-percenters, although it may inspire the rest to actually pick up a wand for a change. All it takes is guts and imagination, not much specialist knowledge is required - Peter J. Carroll

Stephen Maces "Stealing the Fire from Heaven - A Technique for Creating Individual Systems of Sorcery" is often touted as an excellent starting point for the aspiring magician/sorcerer as well as the experienced magician. Dagon Productions is proud to announce the publishing of the revised and expanded version of "Stealing the Fire from Heaven".
"This essay offers a technique that individuals can use to create their own systems of sorcery, systems precisely tailored to fit their own unconscious minds. By following its instructions, the reader can cause his or her subliminal self to design its own symbols to represent the powers that lie within it. The result will be what is essentially a personal language of power, one that has meaning only for his or her self, but full of potency because it is his or her own soul’s way of expressing itself." - Stephen Mace
Philip H. Farber - Meta-Magick - The Book of ATEM - Achieving New States of Consciousness Through NLP Neuroscience and Ritual
Downloaded: 16 times | Size: 169 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits
In Meta-Magick: The Book of Atem, Philip H. Farber combines traditional ritual sensibilities with contemporary concepts of neurolinguistics and memetics to create a unique entity - Atem. In this instance, the essence of an entity is encoded in a book and activated by the reader. At the same time, the book is a comprehensive manual of evocation, containing dozens of easy-to-follow rituals and exercises for exploring and creating magical entities of every sort. Farber teaches readers to wake up from their habitual trance, to reprogram themselves to stand in the Mystery without unnecessary mystification. This supercharged fusion of tried-and-true magical and psychological techniques moves beyond trauma, healing, and recovery into self-fulfillment and self-transformation. Combining both disciplines with methods such as intentionality, autohypnosis, visualization, personification, and experiential journeys, Farber creates a powerful system that opens the way to peak experiences, self-knowledge, even cosmic consciousness. Rather than importing standardized healing images, readers learn to create their own emergent metaphors, their own creative strengths and flexible freedom.
Atem is a living Magus, an icon for the twenty-first century. Part transpersonal shaman, part inner guide, part inner healer, part role model, Atem becomes a personal therapist, a guide to self-discovery and self-initiation. Atem, as healing fiction, helps readers to create their own breakthroughs, their own catharsis - emotional clearing that frees energy from internal conflict to flow creatively into new expressions.

Stephen Mace - Taking Power: Claiming Our Divinity Through Magick
Downloaded: 15 times | Size: 194 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits
Before the Beginning, there was a Blue Hum: infinite, omnipotent, and very, very bored.
So for its own amusement, it became the Universe, infiltrated it with living consciousness, and now enjoys the ongoing interaction from every possible perspective. We are eyes of God, together with every cat and rat, frog and fly, and through us God's omniscience is assured. But by participating in this consciousness, we share its energy, and thus its power. So magick is simply a question of learning how to exploit our access, and how best to regard the possibilities we thus discover.
Psychic energy is a separate stuff which, though it has its usual origin in living tissue, may act independently of it to spawn events consistent with its character. Magick is a psychic technology, a set of techniques and an attitude that enable the practitioner to manipulate psychic energy so it generates reality in accordance with his or her will.
Taking Power offers a dynamic understanding of this technique, and a vivid grasp of the attitude. From astral projection, the binding of spirits, power spots and the subtle body to the Holy Guardian Angel and magickal ethics, Stephen Mace presents it all in terms of the dynamics of psychic energy, without regard for any symbolic orientation. Thus the dynamics may be applied to any orientation, or to no orientation at all, so long as one's ideology admits to one's right to deal with reality in this way---with the obligations and the privileges of the Creator.

Stephen Mace - Shaping Formless Fire: Distilling the Quintessence of Magick
Downloaded: 11 times | Size: 96 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits
Magick depends upon no abstract philosophies, and doing it requires neither devotion to any god or demon nor knowledge of the True Keys of the Mysteries. Instead it is a technique for recognizing and manipulating psychic energy, both within the psyche and outside it, and for acquiring the mental skills we need to do this effectively. If the details of this technique can seem involved, well, the psyche is a complicated instrument, and psychic energy is slippery stuff to deal with. We must learn to manage it within our psyches and also to split it off so it can act independently to produce the "meaningful coincidences" we require.
Magick is a psychic technology, a collection of observations about psychic energy and the techniques for manipulating it. Shaping Formless Fire presents these with a simple elegance that contradicts the notion that Magick must remain a hidden art. There is psychic energy with us and all around us. We use its power to make our worlds, and to master it is to learn how to make the worlds we require. To see it as merely the way we perceive the world is to put ourselves at its mercy, and forfeit its power.

Peter J. Carroll - The Apophenion

Apophenion attacks most of the great questions of being, free will, consciousness, meaning, the nature of mind, and humanity's place in the cosmos, from a magical perspective. Some of the conclusions seem to challenge many of the deeply held assumptions that our culture has taught us, so brace yourself for the paradigm crash and look for the jewels revealed in the wreckage. This book contains something to offend everyone; enough science to upset the magicians, enough magic to upset the scientists, and enough blasphemy to upset most trancendentalists.
